Community Food Pantry

One of the ways in which our church supports the community is through our community food pantry. The food pantry provides emergency groceries to families in need, primarily residents of the Litchfield community.

The food pantry is open in the mornings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00noon.  We are open Monday evenings from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Non-perishable items may be dropped off in the basket as you enter the church or taken to the church office in Riverside Cottage (across the street from the church) during pastor office hours.  We can always use the following items:

  • Spaghetti Sauce
  • Peanut Butter and jelly
  • Cold Cereal
  • Canned vegetables such as peas, corn and carrots
  • Canned meats such as Spam, tuna, and chicken
  • Canned or bottled gravy
  • Macaroni and cheese, as well as Spaghetti-O’s and other canned pasta
  • Chicken noodle soup, as well as other canned soup

We also receive food through the post office Stamp out Hunger food drive, held annually on the second Saturday in May, and from the Boy Scouts Scouting for Food drive, held each November.  We thank all who help make this a successful mission to the community.
