Sermon for Dec. 28,2008: “Nunc Dimittis”
Based upon the Canticle of Simeon, in this brief meditation we reflect upon the coming of Jesus as the fulfilment of the hope of salvation. From henceforth, the time is not yet to come, but is now. What we hope for is now upon us and it remains only for us to embrace it. As the apostle Paul wrote, “Behold, now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation.”
